Lethbridge County opens applications for two scholarship programs

Applications are open for a couple of scholarship programs from Lethbridge County.

The Post-Secondary Bursary program is in its seventh year and awards three students with $1,500 each toward their studies.

To be eligible, applicants must be Lethbridge County residents entering their first year of post-secondary schooling at an accredited institution, including trade schools.

Officials note applicants do not have to be current high school students and encourage mature students to apply for the scholarship.

Another bursary, the Community Benefit Scholarship, is offered through the County’s collaboration with Potentia Renewables Inc.’s Stirling Wind Project. Up to two scholarships will be awarded, valued at up to $2,000 each.

Those eligible include Lethbridge County residents who are high-achieving, currently high school students planning to further their studies in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics within the following year.

The application deadline for both scholarships is June 1, 2026.

More details are available on the Lethbridge County website.
