Lethbridge Polytechnic to host 2027 ACAC Men’s Volleyball Championship

Lethbridge Polytechnic has been named the host school for a major volleyball tournament.

The Kodiaks will host the 2027 Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference Men’s Volleyball Championship, which is set for Feb. 24-27, 2027 at the Val Matteotti Gymnasium.

Officials noted that the tournament holds plenty of prestige, with the ACAC champion having gone on to win the national title in the past three seasons.

The local polytechnic boasts 114 ACAC championships, 112 Academic All-Canadians and 22 national championships and is excited to host the event showcasing top talent from Alberta and Saskatchewan. The last time Lethbridge hosted the men’s championship tournament was during the 2019-20 season.

“It is a privilege to have the conference select Lethbridge Polytechnic to host such an incredible collegiate championship,” said Todd Caughlin, Athletics and Recreation Services director at Lethbridge Polytechnic.

“It’s not only an opportunity to showcase the level that the collegiate men’s volleyball is being played at but also a chance to highlight the polytechnic and city to the visiting teams for the week. This will be some of the best men’s volleyball played in the country and the gold medal will be presented to the deserved ACAC Champion!”

More on Lethbridge Polytechnic’s athletic programs is available on the Kodiaks website.
