Two people from Lethbridge face drug-related charges after nearly $400,000 worth of cocaine was seized in the city.
ALERT Lethbridge’s organized crime time made the bust, with help from the Lethbridge Police Service, after searching two homes, a storage unit, and a vehicle on May 20.
Officials said the following was seized:
- 3,929 grams of cocaine
- 223 grams of methamphetamine
- Firearm ammunition
- Body armor
- $2,775 cash
In the days that followed the seizure, two suspects were arrested, with the most recent arrest occurring on May 28.
ALERT said it had been investigating the two suspects since Nov. 2025 based on information that they had been trafficking drugs in the Lethbridge community.
The searches on May 20 coincided with a drug shipment arriving from Calgary.
“Organized crime stretches beyond municipal boundaries and does not discriminate in how it inflicts harm on communities,” said Staff Sergeant Trevor Sheppard with ALERT
“This case exemplifies how ALERT teams share intelligence and enforcement strategies to disrupt the drug trade.”
The suspects, a 36-year-old and 21-year-old, are both from Lethbridge. Police said the pair are scheduled to be in court on June 11.
Anyone in the community who suspects drug or gang activity can contact local police or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
