Maintenance work results in University Drive lane closures Wednesday

Starting Wednesday, bridge maintenance on University Drive West will affect a small section of the roadway.

The City of Lethbridge said that crews will be working above the pathway tunnel near Father Leonard Van Tighem School, washing the bridge and sealing minor cracks.

As a result, officials said all four lanes – two northbound and two southbound – will remain open, but crews will close one lane at a time, as the work progresses.

The City said this is a one-day project, scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. Wednesday and is expected to be done by 3 p.m., weather permitting.
