Apply now to City of Lethbridge boards, commissions, committees

If you’d like to make a difference in Lethbridge, you’re encouraged to apply to be on one of City Council’s boards, commissions, and committees.

A recruitment campaign for 16 positions is now underway, and applications will be open until Oct. 9.

Each public role provides an opportunity to participate in the present and future direction of the city.

Whether advisory, decision-making, quasi-judicial, or governing roles — City Council values the input of residents appointed to these groups.

The Office of the City Clerk coordinates, on behalf of Council, board-member recruitment, appointments, and training, as well as the establishment and classification of new committees and assists Council in developing guidelines for these bodies.

Members of the City Clerk’s office will be at the City Showcase event Sept. 28, which is a free, drop-in event where you can learn about City of Lethbridge plans, projects, and progress directly from the people leading the work.

For more information on recruitment, please contact the Office of the City Clerk through 3-1-1.
