Lethbridge woman nabs over $196K POKER LOTTO prize

A Lethbridge resident has added a bit more change to her pocket.

Nikki Coker won $196,914.20 on the Sept. 8 POKER LOTTO and ALL IN draw.

Officials with WCLC said Coker was at the Petro-Canada on 6 Ave. South in Lethbridge when she bought the ticket.

The Lethbridge woman was on the phone with her sister when she asked for a ticket.

“It was instant,” Coker said.

“The cashier screamed, and I was thinking, ‘Why are you shouting?’ I was on the phone with my sister, and she was concerned about all the shouting.”

Coker was then invited behind the counter to get a closer look and explanation for the excitement.

“My sister was on the phone, and the cashier [told] me to go around the computer and look at it. I was excited, but it was that ‘Is this real?’ feeling,” she stated.

As the reality of her win set in, Coker said she quickly realized what she would do with her winnings, stating, “I’m going to take care of my kids!”

POKER LOTTO allows players to add ALL IN to their ticket for $1 and if the cards dealt match a Royal Flush, the player wins the growing jackpot.
