COVID-19: Lethbridge trending high when it comes to fully-vaccinated residents

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Lethbridge residents are really stepping up to the COVID-19 vaccination plate, especially when it comes to those second doses.

The city is trending higher than the provincial average when it comes to the number of people who are fully-vaccinated.

Province-wide, as of Sunday, 38.6% of the eligible population had gotten their second dose.

In Lethbridge, the city average is at 43.2%.

South Lethbridge has the highest uptake in second doses thus far at 47.3% of the eligible population with west Lethbridge at 42.5% and the north side not far behind at 39.8%.

We’re a bit behind on first doses though as 64.8% of those 12 and up have rolled up their sleeve once in Lethbridge compared to 71.7% of eligible Albertans on average.
