FORT MACLEOD, AB – One person was flown to hospital by STARS Air Ambulance after a three-vehicle crash on Highway 3 west of Fort Macleod Monday afternoon.
It happened over the noon hour, around 12:15pm, and involved a sedan, an SUV, and a pick-up truck pulling a travel trailer.
The male driver, and only person in the car, suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to hospital while the male driver of the SUV received minor injuries and was taken to hospital by ground ambulance.
The man and woman in the pick-up truck and trailer unit were not hurt.
No details yet on what caused the crash but an RCMP Collision Analyst has been called in to investigate.
Traffic was expected to be diverted for several hours.
Fort Macleod RCMP are also asking anyone who may have seen the collision or who may have dash cam video from the area around the time of the crash, to call them at 403-553-7200.
