BLOOD RESERVE, AB – A recent spike in overdoses has prompted a drug alert on the Blood Reserve.
Officials are warning that there’s a particularly poisonous batch of opioids making the rounds right now, and they’re asking tribe members to check on their vulnerable friends and family.
Naloxone kits are available at the Blood Tribe fire hall, the Standoff Safe House and pharmacies in the area.
Those who are witness to a potential overdose are urged to call 911 immediately since Naloxone isn’t effective for all drugs.
