BROOKS, AB – A 51-year old Brooks resident has died, following a house fire in that city early Saturday morning (Jan. 1).
Emergency crews arrived at the home on Greenbrook Road around 3:50 a.m., where two residents had already safely evacuated. However, a third resident was still missing.
Fire crews were able to find the man and remove him from the home, but he later died due to his injuries.
An investigation is currenlty underway by RCMP, fire investigators and the medical examiner, but the blaze is not believed to be suspicious.
