Additional resident input wanted on Lethbridge’s cityLINK transit service

LETHBRIDGE, AB – More feedback is being sought on Lethbridge’s cityLINK bus service.

City Council’s Civic Works Policy Standing Committee voted last week to postpone any decision on the network’s redesign results, until February 2, 2022.

The recommendation presented to the committee is for the cityLINK service to become permanent, with adjustmenst to be made each quarter if needed.

The revamped transit service came into effect a few months back, however many people have expressed concerns.

Other potential options are:

  • to put money back into the transit budget for cityLINK and further improve efficiency and effectiveness of the system;
  • or scrap cityLINK all together and go back to the previous system, which will cost more than $350,000 along with a one-time cost of $150,000
