A few Lethbridge residents are putting their knitting needles to good use at the Chinook Regional Hospital Craft Club.
After three years, the Friends of Chinook Regional Hospital Craft Club sale is back in the Atrium of the Chinook Regional Hospital.
The Craft Club has been going on for 30 plus years and according to Manager of the Craft Club, Nettie Hildebrand, this is the first sale since 2019 and it always feel nice to know the things they create at the club can make someones day.
“We always hope that we’ll make somebody’s day a bit brighter and warmer,” says Hildebrand whose been a member of the club for over 20 years.
Sr. Operating Officer with Alberta Health Services, Colin Zieber says things like the craft sale are important at bringing life back into the hospital.
“The volunteers they bring vitality and life back to the hospital and were so excited to have the craft sale and our volunteers come in and support the hospital,” says Zieber.
Community members looking to find the perfect homemade gift can stop by the hospital to purchase the homemade goods that include quilts, slippers, mittens and hats, Wednesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
