Galt Museum looking for stories and material for new exhibit

The Galt Museum and Archives is looking for stories and materials for a new exhibit called “Queer Histories of Southwestern Alberta.”

Curator Aimee Benoit says the Galt’s mission is to preserve and share stories about the human history of the area and that’s what the upcoming exhibit will do.

The exhibit is being developed in partnership with a number of community organizations including the U of L’s Institute of Child and Youth Studies,Taber Equality Alliance,OUTreach Southern Alberta, and the Boys and Girls Club of Lethbridge.

Anyone interested in contributing their stories, photos or objects to the exhibit can visit the Galt Museum’s website for more information.
