Student sent to hospital with concussion after Monday bus crash

Additional injuries were reported after a collision between a pickup truck and a bus yesterday. RCMP say one student was taken to the hospital with a concussion and at the time of the crash, there were 18 kids on the bus.

RCMP say the bus driver also sustained serious injuries and is expected to make a full recovery.

Charges have been laid against a 25-year-old Coalhurst resident for failing to yield. He remains in the hospital with serious injuries.

The crash happened around 8:50 on the morning of March 27 on Township Road 10-2 and Range Road 232, north west of Coalhurst.
