Suspicious death near Willow Creek a homicide: RCMP

RCMP have confirmed a suspicious death near Willow Creek was a homicide. Fort Macleod RCMP and Blood Tribe police were called to investigate reports of blood on the Healy Bridge, on Highway 511, on March 25, around 10:19 a.m.

A man’s body was found on the river under the bridge. RCMP say an autopsy was completed on March 28 and it confirmed the man was a 32 year old Lethbridge resident. RCMP did not release his name.

The investigation is ongoing and RCMP are asking anyone with dashcam footage from Highway 511 near the Healy Bridge, between Highway 509 and Highway 2 to contact them. Specifically footage between 3 and 9 a.m.

Anyone with information can contact Fort Macleod RCMP, their local police service, or Crime Stoppers.
