City of Lethbridge property taxes due at the end of June

Property owners are being reminded to keep an eye out for their tax notices in the mail, as they should be in by Wednesday.

According to the City of Lethbridge, the notices were mailed out at the end of May and were expected to be delivered by Wednesday, June 5th. Anyone who didn’t get their notices in the mail is being advised to use the city’s MyCity website and make sure their property is registered with the roll number and access code sent out at the beginning of the year.

Taxes are due by June 28th, anything paid after that will have a seven per cent penalty applied, and according to the city “late payment penalties will not be waived for those who did not receive their Tax Notice.”

Property owners also can choose a monthly TaxInstalment Prepayment Plan which will subtract two per cent off their credit balance. More information can be found on the city’s website.
