UPDATE:

Police in Lethbridge have reason to believe a missing 40-year-old woman may be somewhere between the Grand Forks Campground and Medicine Hat along the South Saskatchewan River.

Authorities say Aldea Margret Tillmans’ dark blue BMW SUV was located in the Taber area near a boat launch, with police saying a kayak was no longer attached, and have reason to believe she may be kayaking down the river.

Police are asking all landowners between the Grand Forks Campground and Medicine Hat to check their properties. In addition, other campers and those using the river for recreational purposes are asked to be on the lookout for Tillmans.

Police say as of now, there is no evidence to suggest foul play, but police have been unable to contact or locate Tillmans and to confirm her well-being.

The’ kayak is described as a blue and white open top single person model with “Zaleska” written on the side and her tent is orange with dark grey/black accents.
