The community is invited to a town hall hosted by the Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) this week. It is set to focus on fraud prevention.
Sergeant Kevin Talbot with the LPS Economic Crimes Unit will make a brief presentation outlining common scams residents could encounter, the red flags to watch out for and how people can prevent being victimized.
The presentation will be followed by an open mic question and answer period.
The town hall is scheduled from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 2 at Lakeview Elementary School (1129 Henderson Lake Boulevard South).
Another town hall is set for November and will focus on property crime prevention.
