This year’s Agri-Food Innovation Expo will focus on helping businesses in Alberta’s agri-food sector diversify, innovate and drive economic growth.
A dynamic lineup of keynote speakers is set for Nov. 26-28 at the Agri-food Hub and Trade Centre. The event is a collaboration between Lethbridge and District Exhibition and Westerner Park in Red Deer, alternating between venues each year.
The event will equip businesses with actionable insights and help them “build their agri-food toolkit.”
Christine Gould is this year’s keynote speaker. Gould is an award-winning change-maker, agri-food innovation leader and entrepreneur. Currently, Gould is building GIGA, her new venture focused on scaling the world’s most promising solutions to nourish the planet and reverse climate change. She is also the founder of Thought For Food, the world’s leading next-gen agri-food innovation community.
“I’m thrilled to be returning to Canada, a global leader in agri-food innovation and production. In my talk, I’ll delve into yet-untapped innovation opportunities — opportunities where industry leaders and entrepreneurs can collaborate to unleash trillions of dollars in value for food systems economically prosperous, environmentally sustainable and socially inclusive,” says Gould.
LDE CEO Kim Gallucci adds the Agri-Food Innovation Expo is the future when it comes to food security solutions in Canada and beyond. “With Lethbridge already home to many thriving agri-food businesses, we’re excited to continue fostering innovation and collaboration through this event.”
Other keynote speakers include president of SKUFood Peter Chapman and president of Nourish Food Marketing Jo-Ann McArthur.
The Agri-Food Innovation Expo offers a unique platform for small to medium-sized agri-food businesses to expand their toolkit with new insights, tools and partnerships.
