HALO Air Ambulance is Home, Garden and Leisure Show’s charity sponsor

Southern Alberta’s Home, Garden and Leisure Show returns Mar. 13-15 to the Agri-food Hub and Trade Centre. This year’s event is presented by the Building Industry and Land Development Association or BILD Lethbridge Region.

This year’s charity sponsor is HALO Air Ambulance.

CEO Paul Carolan says HALO is excited to be back for the second year. “Lethbridge is an important part of the HALO program. While we’re based in Medicine Hat, we do fly missions into Lethbridge and further southwest.”

“In fact, we were just tasked to a mission in Raymond on Sunday. It is part of our response area and it’s a part of Alberta Health Service’s commitment to making sure emergency services are available across the region,” notes Carolan.

The Home, Garden and Leisure Show is an incredible opportunity for HALO to be out and about in the community and being connected to local organizations including BILD, is a great opportunity to tell HALO’s story.

“We recently announced a second aircraft, which means we’re never down for maintenance and that’s very important. That was a functional threat to our program, if we have to be maintaining the helicopter. We were unable to provide a second one, so now we have a second machine,” notes Carolan. “That also enables us to be the feature anchor tenant this year. We will be bringing one of our aircraft down and it will be in the facility. We invite the community to come check it out. You’ll be able to get up close and personal and see the helicopter and talk to some of our pilots.”

HALO will also be hosting a 50/50 draw kicking off with a guaranteed $2,500 start prize thanks to the title sponsor.

Organizers say this year’s show has completely sold-out its exhibit floor space and the event will feature some very special guests.
