Pronghorn partnership brings sports opportunities to youth

The City of Lethbridge is teaming up with the University of Lethbridge Pronghorns men’s and women’s basketball and soccer teams to offer free mini sports camps for local youth.

Kids aged 12 to 17 are invited to register for two-hour basketball or soccer camps, led by Pronghorn athletes on March 14 from 6 to 8 p.m. Registration can be done online and emailed to [email protected]. Due to limited spots, a follow-up email will be sent in one to two business days to confirm registration.

This initiative is part of the Off the Record program, which aims to reduce barriers youth face when trying to access recreational opportunities and helps connect them with the community. Through the Building Safer Communities grant-funded program, Off the Record is an initiative between the City, the Lethbridge Police Service, Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services and other community partners.

More information on the Building Safer Communities Fund is available at the City of Lethbridge website.
