Nicholas Sheran Elementary School awarded Inclusive Education award

Nicholas Sheran Elementary School has been awarded the Betty Grigg Inclusive Education Award from Inclusion Lethbridge.

The award is presented to spotlight a southern Alberta school that displays outstanding inclusive practices in dealing with staff, students, families and the community, and recognizes a culture of inclusion created through both leadership and action.

It also honours schools that find ways to make sure all students have the support and opportunity to achieve their academic potential, all while enjoying full participation in all school activities with friends and classmates.

This is not the first time a Lethbridge School Division school has been recognized with the award.

General Stewart Elementary School (2006), Dr. Gerald B. Probe Elementary School (2008 and 2015), Galbraith Elementary School (2011) and G.S. Lakie Middle School (2016) are the other Division schools that have been honoured.
