Lethbridge County snow maintenance survey a success

Lethbridge County would like to thank everyone who participated in its snow maintenance survey.

The survey, which was available from Feb. 28 to Mar. 19, asked residents, businesses, farms, emergency responders, bus drivers and anyone else using County roads to provide input on how crews responded to snowfall this past winter.

After refining its approach to snow maintenance this season, the County’s Operations team wanted to hear from the public.

Overall, responses were positive, with suggestions for further improvement moving forward. Insights regarding snow clearing effectiveness, the application of salt and sand and priority areas for next season will directly inform planning and operations for the coming winter.

A summary of survey results is available online.

“It’s encouraging to know our teams’ hard work and dedication are making a positive impact,” says Director of Operations Ryan Thomson. “At the same time, we acknowledge there is always room for improvement. Every comment — whether highlighting successes or offering constructive suggestions — was important in evaluating the effectiveness of our response.”

As the County is committed to continuously improving its services to better meet the needs of all residents, the County plans to ask for public feedback again over the 2025-2026 winter season.
