Cocaine, meth, fentanyl among drugs seized by Taber Police

Drugs police believe were being trafficked were seized by Taber Police Service officers last Wednesday.

According to officials, officers pulled conducted a traffic stop around 10:30 a.m. and the driver of the vehicle reportedly had an outstanding warrant.

Police say the officers reported seeing drug paraphernalia in the vehicle, which contained drug residue. Police arrested the 37-year-old driver on the outstanding warrant and possession of a controlled substance.

Following this police did a subsequent search of the vehicle where they are reported to have seized 63 grams of powder cocaine, meth, crack cocaine, fentanyl and drug paraphernalia. Police also executed a search warrant on a locked compartment in the vehicle where $3,700 in cash was seized.

The driver is facing charges for Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking,Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Proceeds of Crime.
