Several southern Alberta projects included in Alberta’s newest Capital Plan

The provincial government says southern Alberta will benefit from a number of infrastructure projects laid out in its 2019 Capital Plan.

Infrastructure Minister Prasad Panda notes this plan gives communities “access to the modern facilities and other infrastructure they need” while supporting local jobs.

Seven school projects in Lethbridge, Taber, Brooks, Iron Springs, Medicine Hat and Tilley are part of the newest Capital Plan. The University of Lethbridge Destination Project will also receive funding, and upgrades have been promised for the Interfaith Food Bank and the local courthouse.

In addition, upgrades in the Castle Mountain Provincial Park and planning for the Brooks Crop Diversification Centre South are projects in the plan as well.

I started my radio career in 2015, shortly after graduating from Lethbridge College. I have a very strong passion for local news. Proudly born in 1994, I grew up most of my life in Sylvan Lake, AB and I've lived in the Lethbridge since 2012. I'm a below average golfer on a good day, I take as many hiking trips to Waterton as possible in the summer and I love my two cats, Outlaw and Jynx, and my dog, Maverick, more than most people I know. I look forward to providing accurate, timely news coverage in southern Alberta for plenty of years to come!
