Crews responded to two vehicles being on fire on the south side of Lethbridge over the weekend.

The River Valley Fire Ban in Lethbridge has been lifted, effective immediately.

A closed door helped contain a fire to one room in a south Lethbridge home. No injuries were reported and the cause is under investigation.

Coaldale RCMP is advising they're assisting with a large grass fire on Range Road 214 and Township Road 132.

With spring bringing warmer, drier conditions, southern Albertans are entering a period of heightened wildfire risk. This spring, regional fire departments have already responded to controlled burns that have gotten out of control. As such, Lethbridge County wants to remind residents, farms and landowners of the critical importance of abiding by the County’s fire bylaw and following safe practices when conducting controlled burns.
