Firefighters battle residential blaze in Lethbridge’s Fairmont neighbourhood.

Two homes were destroyed on the south side Tuesday, and a third was seriously damaged, as firefighters battled a blaze in hot, windy weather.

Four stations responded to the 400 block of Fairmont Boulevard south at about 2:30pm.

One home was fully engulfed when crews arrived and flames were spreading to neighbouring houses.

There were no injuries reported.

Fire investigators are trying to determine the cause of the blaze while neighbours tell our radio station it appears it may have started in the garage.

Residents are being asked to avoid the area.
