Mysterious monolith constructed in Lethbridge

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Lethbridge is one of the latest locations to become the home of a mysterious metal monolith.

Strange metal columns have been popping up and also disappearing suddenly all over the world ever since one was first discovered in a desert in Utah back in mid-November.

Their construction and removal is unexplainable to date, with some theories suggesting alien visitations, or perhaps an elaborate marketing stunt.

The Lethbridge monolith was visible as of Sunday (Dec. 13). It currently stands on the north side of Whoop Up Drive, on the east side of the Oldman River, just down the hill from the Galt Museum.

As of right now, no one has come forward to claim that they put up this metal structure.

I started my radio career in 2015, shortly after graduating from Lethbridge College. I have a very strong passion for local news. Proudly born in 1994, I grew up most of my life in Sylvan Lake, AB and I've lived in the Lethbridge since 2012. I'm a below average golfer on a good day, I take as many hiking trips to Waterton as possible in the summer and I love my two cats, Outlaw and Jynx, and my dog, Maverick, more than most people I know. I look forward to providing accurate, timely news coverage in southern Alberta for plenty of years to come!
