TABER, AB – A large shed full of hay has gone up in flames east of Taber.
The MD of Taber Regional Fire Service says a person driving on Highway 845 early Sunday morning (around midnight) called 9-1-1.
When crews finally arrived on scene at Jensen Farms they found a large hay shed fully engulfed in flames.
It took firefighters several hours to get the blaze under control and the flames put out.
The contents of the building – a large quantity of Timothy Hay was lost in the fire. Damage is significant, estimated at around $2 million. The good news, no one was hurt.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
