City of Lethbridge crews are working on a major infrastructure improvement that will relocate electrical cables from inside Whoop-Up Drive to beneath the Oldman River.
Heavy and sustained rainfall oat the beginning of September has affected roads, ditches and culverts across Lethbridge County and delayed some road construction projects.
Drivers heading east on Whoop-Up Drive and people using nearby river valley trails are being advised of temporary restrictions as electrical work gets underway.
Starting Aug. 23, construction will begin at the main intersection within the City of Lethbridge Waste and Recycling Centre and east road to the public and commercial drop-offs.
The College Drive South and 28 Avenue/Tudor Boulevard South intersection is expected to reopen following completion of construction on a new roundabout.
