Taber Police pursue stolen truck; driver arrested by RCMP out of town

TABER, AB – Cooperation between three southern Alberta policing agencies Monday morning in the pursuit of a stolen truck.

Taber Police tried to stop the stolen F-350 within town limits just after 8am.

The vehicle took off into the core of the community and near several schools as kids were being dropped off for the day.

Officers in town terminated the pursuit for public safety reasons.

However, Taber and Bow Island RCMP jumped in to help and were able to arrest the driver of the stolen truck near Bow Island.

The investigation is ongoing and more information is expected to be released on Tuesday.
