LETHBRIDGE, AB – The COVID-19 pandemic is still causing problems with booked events at Lethbridge Exhibition Park.
After cancelling a number of things last year, three events in the early 2021 calendar are now being postponed.
Those include the Southern Alberta RV Expo, The AG-Expo and North American Seed Fair, and the Spring Home and Garden Show.
“All these events contribute significantly to the economy of Lethbridge and southern Alberta,” Mike Warkentine Exhibition Park C.O.O.
All of those events are being pushed back at least three weeks from their original start dates.
Mike Warkentine, the Exhibition’s Chief Operating Officer, says they’re taking the extraordinary step of rescheduling these events. “Ensure that more than 600 small and medium-sized businesses in southern Alberta can still have the opportunity to safely showcase their goods and services, as well as maintaining a clean and safe environment for the guests and customers,” said Warkentin.
Exhibition Park has strict health guidelines in place, however Warkentine says despite all of that, these events can only go ahead if government rules allow.
The rescheduled events hosted at Exhibition Park are:
- Southern Alberta RV Expo, rescheduled to Feb. 25– March 6, 2021 (from Feb. 4-14);
- AG-Expo and Northern American Seed Fair, postponed to March 17-19, 2021 (from Feb. 24 – 26); and
- Southern Alberta Home & Garden Show, now planned for April 7-10, 2021 (from March 17-20).
