Four facing numerous charges in storage locker thefts

LETHBRIDGE, AB – An investigation into 14 storage locker break-ins has resulted in 50 total charges against four people.

Lethbridge Police say the lockers were broken into at two facilities on the north side on Jan. 19 and 20.

Search warrants were executed recently at three locations – two homes in the city and one rural business  – where officers uncovered the stolen property, estimated to be worth between $15,000 and $20,000. Two guns and a small amount of drugs were also seized.

Most of the 50 charges include break and enter and possession of stolen property offences.

Nikki Gajda, 31, Lisa Plato, 41, and Michael McDougall, 34, all of Lethbridge, have been released from custody and ordered to appear in court in April.

An arrest warrant has also been issued for Matthew Gajda, 31 of no fixed address, who’s whereabouts are unknown at this time.
