SWEETGRASS, MT – It was a multi-agency effort in making an arrest and recovering a stolen vehicle which tried to make a run for it across the border into the U.S.
Cardston RCMP first took the call Monday morning (Mar. 1) and tried to stop the stolen vehicle, however the driver took off.
The Lethbridge Police Service Crime Suppression Team then sprung into action, following the vehicle to the Sweetgrass/US Border where the driver was eventually arrested with help from both the American Border Patrol and RCMP.
LPS say the incident lasted about three hours.
Multiple charges are pending and the vehicle in question has been returned to its rightful owner.
