A lightning strike igniting an oil storage site north of Taber late Tuesday night (June 18).
Twenty-eight members of the MD of Taber Regional Fire Service responded to the blaze along Township Road 10-2, east of Highway 36, around 11:21 p.m. EMS also responded to provide medical screening for the firefighters.
The Fire Service saying in a Facebook post that there were two explosions within the complex during the response.
The fire was extinguished by 6:00 Wednesday morning (June 19), and most of the facility was able to be saved.
