Sampson appointed new Holy Spirit Superintendent of Schools

The Holy Spirit Catholic School Division will soon have a new Superintendent.

Ken Sampson has been appointed to the position, replacing Chris Smeaton who’s retiring later this year.

Sampson has spent the past 33 years in education and has most recently been an Associate Superintendent with the Livingstone Range School Division.

He previously worked with Holy Spirit in a variety of capacities between 2007 and 2015.

Board Chair Judy Lane says Sampson was selected from a group of impressive candidates. “His values, work ethic, and commitment to student success, will unquestionably build on the current strengths of the Holy Spirit Catholic School Division.”

Sampson officially takes over in January, 2020.
