Woman has wallet stolen in Lethbridge Walmart parking lot

Lethbridge Police are looking for a man they say assaulted an elderly woman in a parking lot and stole her wallet.

It happened last Thursday, June 13th outside the south side Walmart.

Police say a 78 year old woman was approached by two men while walking to her vehicle. It’s alleged the two were speaking another language and used distraction techniques like pointing to an item in flyer to get the woman to take out some money.

She was able to get away, however when she got home she noticed her wallet was missing.

LPS say credit card transactions began happening almost immediately and continued the next day from Lethbridge all the way to Revelstoke, BC.

Both men are described as being of East Indian descent and around 30 years old.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Lethbridge Police.
