Redesigned Lethbridge Transit system, cityLINK, set to launch in late August

LETHBRIDGE, AB – It’s a total redesign of transit in Lethbridge.

cityLINK is set to launch on August 25 after Lethbridge Transit got the green light from City Council at Tuesday’s regular meeting.

It will offer high frequency fixed routes for areas with high ridership and on-demand service for areas with fewer riders.

The project was first announced back in May with Transit Manger Tim Sanderson saying it’ll give riders a faster, more enjoyable bus experience.

Since then, Sanderson says changes have been made based on a robust engagement session that received a total of 267 comments.

It’s the first update of Lethbridge Transit in nearly 15 years.
