SOUTHERN AB – Justice Minister Kaycee Madu is touring the province this summer to gain insight from Albertans about rural crime.
A series of town hall meetings are starting this week, most of which are here in southern Alberta. Those in attendance will have the chance to voice their ongoing concerns with crime in their communities.
In addition, Madu will also discuss the ongoing work to modernize the Police Act, as well as the feasibility study into establishing a provincial police service to replace the RCMP in Alberta.
The minister will be at the Town of Claresholm office on Wednesday (July 21) from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the Tanner Centennial Seniors Centre in Cardston Thursday (July 22) from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., and at the Town of Redcliff office from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. also on Thursday (July 22).
Even more dates and locations are expected to be announced in the coming days.
