University of Lethbridge revises sexual violence policy

The University of Lethbridge has approved a revised policy on sexual violence.

It aims to reinforce intolerance of sexual violence and promotes a safe and supportive community for all who work, live, and study at the U of L.

Ariane Tennant, associate vice-president of Human Resources, says the Sexual Violence Policy is an extensive document that’s been thoroughly and carefully developed.

The policy establishes clear processes and the U of L will continue to inform and educate the campus about consent and how to access support and guidance.

Workshops and training for staff and students about the new policy and procedures will be offered throughout the academic year.
