UPDATE: Alberta RCMP’s Major Crimes Unit advise that the female has been tentatively identified. Alberta RCMP would like to thank the public for their assistance.
Police however, are still investigating the circumstances surrounding her discovery. They’re looking for dash cam footage from motorists who traveled in the area of Highway 505 and Range Road 291A between the hours of 4pm Thursday, Nov. 18 and 8am Friday, Nov. 19. Also, anyone who saw any suspicious vehicles in the area after dusk on Nov. 18 are asked to call the Pincher Creek RCMP.
Background:
PINCHER CREEK, AB – RCMP are turning to the public in an attempt to identify a woman found dead in a rural area south of Pincher Creek.
The discovery was made just before 8am on Friday with Pincher Creek Emergency Services responding to the scene.
The woman is described as:
- Believed to be Caucasian
- Approximately 5’5, 100 lbs, with a slim build
- Approximately 25-45 years old
- Light brown hair that was dyed an orange or red colour
- Several tattoos
The Alberta RCMP’s Major Crime Unit used an RCMP Forensic Facial Imaging Artist to complete a composite sketch of the woman, as well as a few of her distinctive tattoos. Those sketches, along with a photo of a bracelet she was wearing, have been released with the hope someone will be able to help identify her.
