STANDOFF, AB – Human remains discovered on the Blood Reserve earlier this week have been identified as a missing Lethbridge woman.
An autopsy confirmed the body, found on Wednesday in the north end of the Blood Tribe Nation, is that of 48 year old Helen Purkins.
She was last seen at her home in Lethbridge on July 27.
Lethbridge Police issued multiple missing persons bulletins on her, between August and October, as officers were concerned for her well-being.
Her death is being investigated by the Blood Tribe Police Service.
