The Town of Fort Macleod is urging residents to be cautious after recent bear sightings.
A Facebook post from the town Wednesday morning (July 3) says bears have been seen within town limits, near the Rodeo Grounds and Ag Complex, and in the River Valley Wilderness park.
Fish and Wildlife have been contacted and a trap is being placed within the Girl Guides camp, since it appears the bear no longer fears humans.
Fort Macleod residents are urged to be aware and keep dogs on a leash when in the River Valley area.
