LETHBRIDGE, AB – This is not what Lethbridge Boxing Day shoppers at Park Place Mall wanted on Sunday.
The entire mall was evacuated mid-afternoon after what Lethbridge Police say was an altercation between several people. During the ruckus, one person apparently discharged bear spray.
Officials at Park Place had to clear out the entire mall for the safety of everyone.
At this time, the mall remains closed and won’t reopen Sunday. Police are investigating. No other details have been released.
The safety of our shoppers, tenants, and employees is of utmost importance. Due to an isolated incident Park Place has been evacuated and will not be reopening today out of an abundance of caution. We will resume regular hours tomorrow.#YQL #ParkPlaceMall #Primaris
