One charged following drug trafficking investigation

A Lethbridge man is facing charges after police seized weapons, drugs, and cash from a home in the city.

Authorities say an investigation between the Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team and Lethbridge Police led to a search warrant getting executed at a home in the 1300 block of 23 Avenue North, with police allegedly seizing over $20,000 worth of drugs.

Police say the sweep netted over 60 grams of cocaine; 57 grams of fentanyl; 56 codeine tablets; and 1.4 grams of MDMA, along with cash, and a taser.

As a result, 33-year-old Oliver Malisi is facing charges including two counts of possession for the purposes of trafficking; two counts of possession of a controlled substance; and possession of the proceeds of crime under $5,000.

Malisi was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on February 24th.
