Statistics Canada census shows growth in Lethbridge population

The number of people calling the City of Lethbridge home is on the rise.

According to 2021 Census information, released by Statistics Canada, the city’s population is 98,406. That’s 5,677 more residents than shown in 2016, and represents a 6.1 percent increase.

Lethbridge County, meantime, saw a 1.1 percent drop in population. 10,120 residents were counted in last year’s census. That’s down 117 people from the 2016 census.
