Police in Taber making an arrest after an incident involving local taxi cab.

Early Sunday morning (July 7), police say a cabbie called for help after giving a ride to a man who had a knife and was threatening to hurt people.

The suspect failed to pay for his fare, left the taxi and went to home in Taber where he was promptly arrested on the spot.

Taber Police allege the man was both intoxicated and uncooperative.

35 year old Shawn Eric Hart was charged with possessing a weapon, uttering threats, mischief, and for failing to comply with a probation order.

Hart remains behind bars and will appear in court in Taber July 16th.
