Three opioid related deaths reported in Lethbridge in July

New data from the Alberta Substance Use Surveillance System shows three drug poisoning deaths in Lethbridge in July. All of them fall under the category of non-pharmaceutical opioids. A total of 50 people have lost their lives to accidental drug poisoning in Lethbridge since January 2022.

Across the province, the unintentional acute drug poisoning death rate was 25.2 per 100,000 people in July, with a total of 95 deaths reported, 92 of which were opioid-related.
