Streets Alive offering 24 hour warming centre as cold snap settles over Lethbridge

Streets Alive is extending its operations to provide a 24 hour warming centre in Lethbridge. The facility at 323, 4 Street South will have more support staff and extended hours as of Dec. 1 and will continue until March 31.

“As Streets Alive Mission will not operate as an overnight sleeping space, individuals will not have access to beds, mats or showers,” reads a news release from the city. “This short-term project will protect individuals from extreme weather exposure and provide an opportunity to connect with supports and services that can improve their overall well-being.”

The city says staff will provide referrals, resources , basic first aid, basic needs supplies and refreshments on site.
