City lakes not yet safe, ready for skaters this winter

The City of Lethbridge is reminding residents that even though the colder weather has set in, the designated skating locations are not yet ready for those blades.

Currently, there are four designated skating locations here in Lethbridge that city workers frequently monitor for safety:

  • Henderson Lake
  • Legacy Park NW Lake
  • Legacy Park East Lake
  • Nicholas Sheran Park

As a reminder, any ice that develops on stormwater ponds are not monitored by the city and residents should keep safe and stay off those.
